Picasso visita o planeta dos simios

Adam and the Ants, banda inglesa dos 80, compuxo a canción a raíz dunha visita a España.

See the spaniard eating chocolatesSee the spaniard have a ballSee the spaniard trust in no oneHe’s on quality street, ...As the masters rot on wallsAnd the angels eat their grapesI watched picasso visit the planet of the apesAs the masters rot on wallsAnd the angels eat their grapesI watched picassoPablo picassoVisit the planet of the apes (yeah)See the spaniard seek companionSee the spaniard take it allSee the spaniard sell his friends outHe’s on quality street, ...And pretenders pretendTo their patronage lend
But it’s the ones we don’t seeThat always fascinate me

As the masters rot on wallsAnd the angels eat their grapesI watched picasso visit the planet of the apesAs the masters rot on wallsAnd the angels eat their grapesI watched PicassoPablo PicassoVisit the planet of the apes (yeah)As the real heroes diedAnd their ideas suppliedTo a fat little magpieWith money in his eyesThey bowed and they scrapedAs opinions he shapedNow every little sketch a fortune will fetchAnd the bleach killer kills, ...And as the masters rot on walls
(see the spaniard sell the whole world)...
